USANA was founded by Dr. Myron Wentz after years of research into growing healthy cells for viral research led him to the question "Why don't we approach nutrition at the level of the human cell?". He decided that using his research experience he could produce an advanced nutritional supplement to help people maintain their health and ensure an optimal quality of life.
